Near Gabler Wins LA Times Book Prize for Biography

Lear Center Senior Fellow Neal Gabler's definitive exploration, Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination (Alfred A. Knopf) won this year's Los Angeles Times Book Award for biography. This triumph for Gabler was announced Saturday night at a kick-off event for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at UCLA. His first book, An Empire of Their Own: How the Jews Invented Hollywood, won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in 1998. Read more.
