The Lear Center presented the third annual Everett M. Rogers Colloquium September 19, honoring the memory of former professor and doctoral studies chair Everett Rogers. The featured speaker was psychology pioneer Albert Bandura (pictured), who was awarded this year's Everett Rogers Award.
Dr. Bandura discussed his ground-breaking work in the area of social learning and social cognitive theory, including its direct influence on the design of the original entertainment education telenovelas in Mexico, produced by Miguel Sabido, the winner of the 2006 Rogers Award.
The Lear Center’s Hollywood, Health & Society project administers the Rogers Prize, which commemorates the work of Everett M. Rogers, former associate dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Walter H. Annenberg Professor of Communication.
