The Lear Center's Grand Intervention project continues to monitor progress on design plans for L.A.'s newest civic park. For the latest news, watch "Will Grand Avenue Live Up to the Hype?" a lively consideration of the future of Bunker Hill and beyond featuring L.A. Times architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne, Bill Witte, president of The Related Companies of California, Dana Cuff, professor of Urban Planning at UCLA, and Los Angeles City Councilmember Jan Perry. Recorded before a live audience on September 25th at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Witte confirms schematic plans for the park will be unveiled at the end of December/just after the first of the year; the plans will feature an out-of-the-box design; and he expects to double the original $50 million budget. Check out Grand Intervention and stay up to date on this project!
