Contaminants in the air and water are taking a toll on the health of Americans. But how bad is it really? Earlier this year, the Lear Center's Hollywood, Health & Society project, in partnership with the Writers Guild of America, west, hosted a discussion on the topic, featuring leading environmental health experts who spoke about growing rates of asthma, cancer and other diseases that affect millions of Americans. The panel also offered two women who faced devastating environmental exposures in their homes and shared their brave stories of how they found out the truth and fought back.
