HH&S Shares in $3.1M National Institutes of Health Grant

buffingtonblk100.jpg Hollywood, Health & Society director Sandra de Castro Buffington is a co-principal investigator on the five-year grant, "Transforming Cancer, Knowledge, Attitudes and Behavior Through Narrative," which will research narratives as a way to learn and retain information about such important topics as cancer. An extensive team of medical researchers, script writers, artists, physicians, psychologists, anthropologists, communication scholars and public health professionals will all contribute to this project to examine and reinvent how health-related information is conveyed.
